The Mission
Build, lead, and grow a best-in-class residential HVAC service department that delivers:

Your Role
This is a lead-from-the-front role, not an office position.
You will:
- Build and develop a high-performing HVAC service team (starting with 2 techs)
- Hire, train, coach, and hold technicians accountable to high standards
- Set the daily tone for energy, professionalism, and execution
- Run calls as needed to support the team and capture opportunity
- Drive performance across KPIs, revenue, and customer satisfaction
- Implement and refine systems using our proven service framework (Nexstar-based)
- Optimize scheduling and dispatch coordination to maximize efficiency and results
- Conduct job site inspections and uphold workmanship standards
- Manage labor, materials, tools, vehicles, and equipment to maintain margins
- Track department performance, inventory, and operational needs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local codes
- Resolve customer concerns and protect the customer experience
- Lead weekly technician meetings and deliver ongoing training and development

- Coming from mostly commercial, industrial, or maintenance-only HVAC
- Used to home warranty or property management environments
- Uncomfortable with sales, performance expectations, or accountability

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who can build and lead, not just maintain.
Experience and Capability:
- 3+ years of HVAC service leadership or management experience
- Strong background in residential HVAC service and diagnostics
- Proven ability to develop technicians and improve team performance
- Proven ability to drive revenue, KPIs, and customer satisfaction
- Comfortable using software platforms, tracking metrics, and making data-driven decisions
Leadership and Ownership:
- A lead-by-example mindset, willing to get in the field when needed
- Ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable
- Strong decision-making skills and ownership mentality
- High level of organization, follow-through, and execution
Sales and Customer Experience:
- Strong belief that customer service and sales go hand in hand
- Ability to teach and reinforce a structured sales process
- Confidence in presenting options and maximizing opportunity on every call
- Understanding of premium service and how to deliver value beyond price
Work Ethic and Character:
- High energy, urgency, and bias toward action
- Self-starter who does not wait to be told what to do
- Strong personal accountability and ownership of results
- High integrity, no shortcuts
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Compensation
- $85,000 to $100,000 base salary
- Performance-based bonuses up to $20,000+ annually, based on team performance, KPIs, and revenue growth
